Sustainability Policy

Sustainability is at the heart of how we run The Snug, from our coffee to our cups. 

We no longer sell bottled water or use single-use plastic where we can avoid it. Instead, we offer tap water, canned drinks, and reusable or compostable cups at events. 

We recycle our coffee grounds and food waste in partnership with local composting schemes and allotments. All other waste is handled by a certified local service. We also avoid using cooking oils entirely. 

Where possible, we work with suppliers who share our values. Our fair-trade coffee is roasted locally to reduce transport impact. 

Our future goals include switching fully to LED lighting, encouraging greener travel to gigs, and exploring options for solar power. We’re embedding sustainability into staff training and use our social media platforms to share ideas and encourage low-impact living in our community. 

The Snug is a small venue, but we believe in making a big difference.
